The International 2024
CLIENT: BOMBEE | PERIOD: SEPTEMBER 2024
Got the chance to play with Unreal Engine during the pick & ban phase at The International that just concluded with Team Liquid winning the grand finals.
The environment consisted of a custom Blueprint plugin that receives Dota 2 data straight into the engine, has over 50 rigged fixtures/lights for the onsite light technician to control, is able to receive triggers from other operators in production for the timing of some elements, and a couple of other things under the hood. For example, the flash of red during the draft segment when a ban occurs was controlled by the light operator, and the LED operator triggered the reveal of the stage when the curtains openened.
Thanks Bombee for asking and trusting me to execute this small part of the show at the biggest Dota 2 tournament in the world.
